All the images are available as fine art photographic prints. Each print is made using the finest materials available to assure long lasting beauty and to protect an investment in fine art. Archival pigment based inks that are engineered to last 75 plus years are used to print on archival matt or watercolor paper. Backboards are acid free and matt materials are 100 percent cotton rag and acid free.

PRINT SIZES AND COST

The pictures on this website gallery identify a cross section of the available variety of prints by Thomas Hill. Sizes range from 8” x 10” through 26” x 42”. All prints up to 16 x 20 are individually produced by the artist on his studio equipment.

All prints are made using the finest fine art matt paper and pigment based ink, which in combination, are forecast to last without color shift for 75 to 100 years with reasonable care.

Prices for unmated prints on standard paper sizes, not including shipping and handling, are as follows:

8x10, $30; 11x14, $60; 16x20, $120

Prints can be sent by mail. Some prints can be sent by regular flat mail in a protected envelope. The largest are sent rolled in a shipping tube. Shipping and handling cost ranges from $10 to $30 for a 150 mile radius from my studio in Orange County, California.

Sizes larger than 16”x are made to my specifications by a world class custom print lab. The largest print I have had the lab provide is 26” x 42” (my “Sunrise Over the Colorado”), it was superb and the price was $360.

Print paper sizes are 8 x 10, 11 x 14, 16 x 20 and other standard sizes (inches). The actual image size of the print will be somewhat smaller than these industry standard photo paper sizes for the following reasons:

Borders: To assist handling and matting, all prints include a small border. The image size of an 11 x 14 is often 9 x 13.5 and a 16 x 20 is may be 13 x 19.5 or 15 x 18.75.

Overmatting: To ensure that the mat window does not reveal any of the white border around the print, the windows are cut very slightly smaller than the image area, obscuring a minimal area of the image along its edges. Print matting can be provided at additional cost.
